I think Father Naeblis will confirm that the "King of the North" is CANADA (near Spain).

by hawkaw inas of 6:02 pm last night i received a facsimile from paul hoeffel at the un on the wts.. he gave me 3 of the 4 things i requested in two paragraphs.. i have sent a scanned version to steve bates and someone else.. i sent it to kent and randy.
and kent and randy have posted the official united nations letter on their web sites.. here is the letter - put your cursor on the image and then right click on your mouse and hit "save image" to your computer.. .
after you look at kent's web site and you people still think this it is a fake letter, phone paul hoeffel yourself at (212) 963-8070.. hawk

Is there any way to document the benefits, financial or otherwise, that the WTS derived as a result of it's association with the UN?
I'm sure the WTS will be eager to return all 10 years' worth, soas to avoid the appearance of inpropriety so important to God's Faithful inDiscreet Slave.

Should I be doing more?
by WTLies inmy story is posted in the "personal experiences" section of this discussion board and someone responded with and interesting observation.
he said that it's great that i'm now out but that i have 'dues to pay' to those whom i have disfellowshipped and talked out of going to college while serving as an elder.
while serving as an elder i did share in disfellowshipping several members of the congregation, many of whom are still out there being shunned by family and friends.

I think I was the one who told you you have "dues to pay."
What I was thinking was more along the line of going to the individuals you may have disfellowshipped or misguided and asking their forgiveness.
What Farkel says is true, to an extent - we are victims of victims.
I'm not sure that this simple truth indemnifies you. On the other hand, it doesn't mean you have some Cosmic Karmic burden to bear like the Flying Dutchman until the end of time.
You have a good heart, and you're tryin to "make good." Speaking to the individuals will probably be the hardest thing you can do.
The light of truth can sometimes be so bright it brings tears to our eyes.
Don't beat yourself up. Think of it as a parking ticket - once you pay the fine, do you dontinue to agonize over it? Pay your fine and move on.

Hi Kevin,
I didn't know Jon, being fairly new here myself, but it is clear to me from the messages posted by those that did know him that he was greatly loved by many friends. I offer my sympathy in your hour of grief.
Although it may be hard for you to accept right now, not all witnesses are this mercenary and heartless. All of the friends Jon had here, after all, were once witnesses themselves.
I disagree with the comments that as Jon's father this man deserves some special consideration. He deserves nothing, which seems to be the way Jon saw the issue too.
I'm wonder what Jon's wonderful father would do if he thought that Jon's possessions were themselves "possessed"? You could have fun messin' with his mind...

Sprinkle a liberal quantity of hot red pepper powder over the garbage in your garbage cans. When the 'coons try to dig through it, they get discouraged. Your garbageman will thank you - NOT!
OK - to keep your garbageman happy - sprinkle at least a tablespoon of hot red pepper powder over your garbage before you close the bag and put it in the can. I'm assuming that you're using plastic garbage bags that can be tied shut. The pepper won't bother man nor beast unless 'e tries to rummage thru the contents of the bag.

protesters against JWs at WTC on 9/11?
by concerned fiance inmy fiance's mother, who is in complete hysteria since the attack on 9/11 and went back to being a witness after 10 years (clearly the main reason my fiance is now considering he should go back)told my fiance something that she heard from one of the elders last week.
i am not sure if it is true and most likely, there is no way to prove it.
she said that on the day of the attack, there was a group of people outside the wtc screaming and badmouthing jws because they don't fly the flag etc.

My condolences on your idiot mother-in-law.
Was the "moral" of her story that god would allow 5,000 people to die a terrible death so that he could "wreak great vengence" on the persecutors of his "true" people? Is god's aim so poor that he can't help collateral damage 100X greater than his target? If so, he must be using a spiritual blunderbuss as his weapon of choice!
